I can’t really do this album, or Wrest’s talent and influence, due justice. I can say that this album is a late discovery for me, and some of my favorite current metal projects are logical extensions of what Wrest has already done. This album is high art; the most painfully beautiful thing you’re likely to hear. Metallurgical Fire
Creating a dark, heavy, and yet tranquil atmosphere, Bell Witch are quintessential Funeral Doom, and that without guitars. All their albums are, while slightly varying in tone and atmosphere, masterpieces of the sub-genre. Dragonsmoke
A musical well that cannot run dry, Earth never ceases to invite us on truly ethereal journeys. With rich, grizzled tones and a tasteful sprinkling of vocals, Primitive and Deadly proves that this deeply psychedelic project is one that continues to ripen with age. mantis_666
Every second of this album just envelopes you in an absolutely dense, crushing atmosphere. It legitimately gives off the feeling of being sucked into the bowels of the monster shown on the cover, and falling into the darkness of its depths.
One of the heaviest ever created, and I do not say that lightly.
If you enjoy doom/sludge in any capacity, and do not listen to this album, you are doing yourself a disservice. kvltspookster666
